Neurodiversity-Affirming Autism and ADHD Assessment
I have over 7 years’ experience in providing diagnostic assessments for all ages. My priority is that you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. I use a range of assessment methods, performed in such a way that you or your child can feel at ease, and not like you are ‘under the microscope’. At the end of your assessment, you will leave feeling as though you have just had a nice chat with someone who ‘gets you’, or in the case of children, a play with some cool toys and fidgets in a low-demand setting, with Mum or Dad watching over you (or participating if need be).
Reports are provided in a timely manner, and can be used to gain access to NDIS funding, school supports, or on-referral to a paediatrician or psychiatrist.
Neurodiversity-Affirming Resources for All Ages
I create neurodiversity-affirming resources for neurodivergent people, and those who support them, to facilitate understanding and communication about neurotypes and needs. My resources help autistic people and ADHD-ers to achieve a positive sense of identity and seek appropriate supports and accommodations in their daily lives (school, work, or social). Using affirming, non-pathologising language, my resources help to deconstruct and rebuild our understanding of what autism and ADHD are, and take you from a medical model to a neurotype perspective. If you work with neurodivergent clients, or just want to gain a better understanding of the identity and needs of someone you love, my resources will be a great fit for you!
Supervision, Mentoring, and Speaking
I provide supervision for registered psychologists and allied health professionals, and mentoring for teachers and school support staff. I am available for events and professional development on neurodiversity-affirming practice, and how to use my resources to support your clients.
